This post will be based at Whitechapel but on occasion the successful candidate may be required to visit any of the other sites. The post holder will be required to assist in all aspects of Mortuary Services including post mortem provision for adults, perinatal/paediatric cases and care of the deceased.You will be the dedicated training lead for the trainee APT's ensuring they reach the standard required to pass the level 3 diploma. Potential applicants should pay particular attention to the Job Description and Person Specification for this post to ensure meeting the respective criteria. The mortuary services at ESEL comprise of one mortuary facility based at The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel , Barts Health have 4 other deceased holding units at St Bartholomew's, Newham, Whipps Cross and Mile End. The Cellular Pathology and Cancer Diagnostics Division provides diagnostic and screening services for the whole of North East London. Our facilities are close to underground and DLR services. The Mortuary service performs approximately 200 post mortems Per annum and is regional referral centre for perinatal cases. The Mortuary is HTA accredited.
