This is an exciting new role in Facilities services, which will work alongside the sites Hotel Services managers. The Waste Compliance Manager will act as the master Lead Specialist to the Trust and will be responsible for compliance of waste management Have lead responsibility in providing specialist expertise on all aspects of waste management inclusive of Recycling and sustainable development issues. When required will support within the Patient Environment on other legislative drivers eg catering legislation. Be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Trusts Waste policies and strategy. Be responsible for the development and delivery of all reuse, reduce and recycle projects, providing advice on standards and issues relating to recycling targets and WAG strategy. Be responsible for monitoring the Trusts performance in relation to waste inclusive of financial expenditure for a budget of c£1m per annum and liaising with managers on a multidisciplinary level with respect to such matters and the impact they have on waste management. Ensure compliance with all applicable Waste and Environment legislation and government programmes. Liaise with other related specialist disciplines throughout the Health Board where appropriate on issues, which will affect sustainability, waste and recycling management/performance. Be responsible for the liaison with external statutory, regulatory and government organisations for all matters relating to waste and protection of the environment. "}
