Our Emergency Accommodation service works with statutory agencies across the South West to place homeless families and individuals on a temporary and emergency basis. Duties will include but are not limited to :- Complete admissions process for new residents in conjunction with Allocations team and ensure the house and health and safety rules are well explained to the residents and the relevant paperwork is signed. Ensure that the room is set up to company standards and the residents are provided an initial allocation of the inventory Provide excellent communication to colleagues who you are handing over to update them on any complaints/discharges/safeguarding concerns or new bookings. Update the portal to show any discharges/admissions Inspect properties for cleanliness and maintenance issues. Escalate any maintenance issues, if necessary Ensure the properties are up to company standard Carry out regular tests and checks and update the fire log Uphold the house rules to prevent issues from arising Follow the warning system to support the management of the properties Maintain a professional rapour at all times whilst representing the company Interact daily with residents answering questions, updating them on changes and dealing with complaints Build a professional rapport with the residents to help them settle in, remain approachable and ensure they all receive a helpful, thorough induction during the admissions process It is vitally important that safeguarding concerns are flagged immediately and passed onto the relevant agency. Problem solve issues and swiftly resolve conflict Ensure all incidents and accidents are recorded following the procedure and management are informed Supervise the cleaners, make sure they carry out their duties and transport them to their property Update the cleaners with priorities for the day and turnaround cleans Sign of the cleaning logs weekly Assist Cleaners, when necessary Prepare and present verbal/written reports, when required Conduct stock checks and submit stock allocation list on a weekly basis. Ensure Meter readings are taken and submitted to Accounts on a timely basis Inform the allocations team when a resident informs you that they're could be leaving (this helps us prepare for a fast turnaround) Assist with the packing of residents belongings when required Any other duties that may be reasonably requested by management Adhering to the relevant legislation, good practice policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Confidentiality, Equal Opportunities and Safeguarding at all times.
