You will be responsible for the smooth running of clinics and maintaining effective communications with patients and their relatives ensuring patients understand information they have received. You will work alongside and supervise junior members of staff and mentor student midwives, paramedics and nurses. The Band 5 nurse will take responsibility for the department in the absence of the Deputy Manager. The successful candidate will be compliant with all aspects of revalidation as stipulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council and have active registration. Candidates should be able to c ommunicate formally on first contact, dealing with everyone in a polite, friendly and welcoming manner. Demonstrate excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills e nsuring all communications are open, honest and accurate. Value people’s time and protect it as much as possible whilst making the environment friendly and safe for all. A knowledge and experience of complex dressings including compression bandaging would be advantageous. Previous outpatient experience would be desirable although full training will be arranged on clinics.
