Identifying the items location and expected ETA. Taking action where required & possible to ensure the items are made available in time for the procedure to take place. The team must pick the requirements accurately and on time using the systems available. Any errors and delays are likely to result in a delay to patient treatment. The team are responsible for the picking and the control of sterile trays & instruments within University Hospital Southampton, ensuring that they are available for Theatres when required. Alongside this, they also move equipment and audit equipment availability. The team itself currently consists of 5 Equipment & Instrument Controllers. This service covers theatres across the 7 day week. The successful candidate will be required to work 5 days a week onsite to give direct line support in this operational role. "}
