This post is open to Paediatric nurses and Adult nurses with children and young persons experience. The Adolescent Ward cares for young people from their 13th birthday to the age of 19yrs It comprises of 16 acute inpatient beds and provides a service for young people with a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses such as Gynaecology, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Haematology, Infectious diseases, Traccs and young people requiring Psychological support. It has strong links with the other wards in the division and especially the paediatric and adolescent day care unit and assists with both paediatric and adolescent day surgery lists. This vacancy has been advertised in accordance with the new NHS pay rate which will take effect from autumn 2024. Please note if your employment starts before the 24/25 pay scales are implemented you will be paid under the 23/24 pay scales and any backpay will be adjusted accordingly.
