Main Duties, Tasks &amp; Skills Required As a HCA, your workload will be varied and at times challenging -- however, being able to multi-task in an efficient manner whilst maintaining a caring and helpful attitude, will support everything you do - to make a difference to your team and the patients and relatives that rely on us to care for them. You will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills. Within Your Role You Will Be Asked To Greet all patients and visitors to the department with courtesy and compassion. Observe and report to the registered nurse all changes in a patient's physical and psychological condition. Support families and carers following a patient bereavement or when bad news has been shared. Assist and as required provide patients with personal care- assisting them when in pain or distressed. Assist patients with feeding and drinking when necessary and maintaining patient notes. With that, candidates will be required to have a good standard of Maths and English, GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent.
