Additional hours may be available on either a temporary or permanent basis. An applicant appointed to the band 7 development post will be supported through a professional and clinical development plan. They will be supported to acquire the knowledge, skills and experience that meet the person specifications for the post at band 8a after a period of 24 months. Where these conditions are met the post holder will be expected to progress to band 8a subject to successful interview. The successful candidate will contribute to or lead on providing a high quality specialist family and systemic therapy service to children, young people and their families with complex psychological difficulties as part of (CYPPS) – East Lancashire provided by Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT). Additionally, there will be opportunities to provide specialist assessment, formulation and therapy for individual children, young people and their parents/carers within the service and offer advice/consultancy/supervision to support the work of CYPPS colleagues providing systemic based care and treatment, according to expertise. The service is a lively, dynamic and supportive service with a range of clinical interests and developments. We are committed to CPD and supervision and encourage innovation and development, as well as contributing to local Clinical Psychology Training courses. You will join an established service which includes Clinical Psychologists, Specialist Therapists, and Trainee and Assistant Psychologists. We are part of CYPPS and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) across LSCFT and have close links with our local Psychiatry led Service in East Lancashire (East Lancashire Child and Adolescent Service).
