This is a permanent post. An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic clinical/counselling psychologist or psychotherapist to join our Older People’s Psychology (OPP) service. We will also consider applications from newly qualified candidates (band 7). Older People’s Mental Health: As part of the Dorset Older People’s Psychology Service, you will work with other friendly and dedicated psychologists/therapists to provide specialist psychological services for older people under the care of OP-CMHTs in Dorset. The role is diverse, and allows opportunities to develop your own individual therapy skills, work on service development, continue with your professional development, and work with a range of really skilled professionals who are all passionate about working with older adults. Clinical work covers a whole range of different problems with which patients may present, as well as skilled and often complex assessments. Consultation and supervision of other professionals from within the OPP team, as well as the wider MDT is a regular part of our role. This is a full time post of up to 37.5 hours per week (job share considered) and is based at Alderney Hospital in Poole.
