Morlich Ward is a 12 bedded mixed sex ward providing assessment and care for older people who are experiencing an acute episode of mental ill health. You would be working as part of a highly motivated and encouraging team, who adopt a person centred approach to care, always aiming for a positive patient experience of admission. The successful candidate will be motivated, demonstrate a commitment towards the continued development of patient focused care whilst fostering a therapeutic ward environment. This position would suit a conscientious, kind, enthusiastic and motivated individual. Previous experience in a care setting is desirable as this is a busy and physically demanding post. We require someone who is able to cope with these demands, who can work well within a team and has a calm and friendly nature. We are looking for applicants with a genuine commitment to the provision of safe, consistent, patient-centred care. You will be able to demonstrate strong values, with good communication & team-working skills. An active interest in older adults and mental health would be advantageous.
