The administration of cytotoxic chemotherapy and the physical and psychological care of the patient and family is also a crucial part of the service which the Unit provides. The working pattern is flexible within the remit of 07:30-18:00 and 07:30-15:30 Monday to Friday. Main duties of the job It is essential for the candidate to have an accredited cytotoxic chemotherapy course or SACT Competency Passport. To care for long term central venous devices, for example PICC, Portacath. To care for the patient receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments including specialised physical and psychological support of the patient and family.
