The role supports a holistic approach to independent living and the ILO will work closely with customers to ensure they have the best quality of life and are able to stay in their homes for as long as they can through the provision of a service which is centred around the person and their wellbeing. As Independent Living Officer (ILO) you will be based at one of our modern, purpose-built extra care sites in Preston but will also be required to work in the community and customers' homes. What we are looking for in you We are looking for someone who shares our values and puts customers at the heart of everything they do. That is why it is important that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience of working with older or vulnerable people in a customer facing role. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to assist with our Activities Programme. You will need to have a full driving licence and a vehicle insured for business use to be able to travel between sites. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this post.
