As a speech and language therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing and treating communication and swallowing disorders in children and young people. The speech and language therapist will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create personalised therapy plans that support students’ educational and social development. Key Responsibilities Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs. Develop and implement tailored therapy plans to address individual needs. Monitor and review progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure the best outcomes. Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate therapy into the classroom environment. Provide training and support to school staff and parents to facilitate ongoing development. Requirements Must hold HCPC registration and be RCSLT compliant. Proven experience as a speech and language therapist, with a focus on working with children and young people. Experience in conducting annual reviews and managing EHCPs is desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
