City of York Council have a great opportunity for a qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England, to work within the Adult Social Care Mental Health Team for a fixed term contract (12 Months). We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Social Worker to undertake Strengths -Based Assessments in line with the Care Act , Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act (S117 Aftercare), undertaking duties expected as Social Workers in line with their Professional Capabilities Framework. Our social work and occupational therapy teams listen to and support people to identify their outcomes, access personal and practical advice, information and support within their local communities and neighbourhoods to help them achieve their goals. Our mental health team supports people experiencing mental health difficulties in a variety of settings. This role involves working collaboratively with the person, and with NHS and other community partners, to meet complex needs, safeguard and promote recovery. You will receive regular supervision, team/peer reflective supervision meetings, and be working within a highly committed, friendly, and supportive team.
