The shift pattern for this position is 37hrs/week. A chance to join the fabulous primary care pharmacy teams across Glasgow City to support work in care homes & in GP practice. This role covers the Northeast of the city and will predominantly be based at our Glasgow Business Park Hub site. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated technician to join the NHSGGC Prescribing Support Team and take forward key prescribing initiatives and undertake pharmacotherapy activities for general practices to support their patients in managing their medications. As a key member of the Prescribing Team you will have an important role in promoting and implementing cost effective and evidence based prescribing from our hub as well as within specific GP practices. This role will involve working with GPs and the primary care multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines management and deliver excellent patient care. This post requires excellent communication, negotiation, organisational and IT skills along with the ability to influence and affect change. This is an opportunity to develop your career in Primary Care working with multi-disciplinary teams, particularly GP Practices, Community Pharmacies, Care Homes and across other care settings. Experience of working in Primary Care or as part of a multidisciplinary team is desirable.
