Other responsibilities within the organisation: Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety A commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation Contributing to the development of computer-based patient records Contributing to the summarising of patient records and read-coding patient data Attending training and events organised by the practice or other agencies, where appropriate. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking salaried GP to complement our team of GPs and staff. Ideally we are looking to cover 4-6 clinical sessions which will include extended hours. The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. As a salaried GP your main duties and responsibilities will be:- The following are the core responsibilities of the General Practitioner. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels Perform clinical examinations of patients to assess, diagnose and monitor conditions Cover On call Carry out patient consultations within the surgery Monitor patients' conditions and wellbeing Carry out home visits where necessary Diagnose and treat various illnesses/ailments Liaise with other healthcare professionals (e.g., midwives, pharmacists, health visitors and psychiatrists) as part of multidisciplinary teams# All general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
