General Practice experience is required for this role. Applications are invited for those seeking full time and part time hours. Undertaking general practice nurse duties would be included, such as treatment room and chronic disease monitoring, an interest in Respiratory Medicine would be desirable. Main Duties Experience and qualifications in diabetes/Chronic heart disease/Hypertension and Respiratory would be desirable. We are an expanding health centre with circa 36,000 patients and growing. We currently work across two city centre sites and are expanding into the shire in the near future. We have 5 practice nurses, 2 treatment room nurses and 2 health care assistants. Applicants will be expected to work across all sites. We are led by 4 partners, with a wide team of Salaried GP’s and ANP’s. We are a training practice, and train medical students, FY2 doctor’s and GP trainees. We have a full range of Medical Professionals working at the practice including Clinical Pharmacist’s, Paramedics, FCP, Mental Health Practitioners, as well as a large and very supportive Non-clinical team. Job Description Job responsibilities: Experience in respiratory medicine is desirable. The role will include standard practice nurse duties including treatment room, chronic disease monitoring, smear, injections. ECG’s, Inhealthcare BP, Collecting swabs/specimens as clinically requested. NPT testing. Drug/equipment checks, ordering and restocking of stores/drugs and other tasks delegated by the Lead Practice Nurse. Experience Person Specification : Essential Experience of working within a nursing team, and wider MDT Experience as a Practice Nurse in General Practice Nurse registration with NMC Desirable Qualified in Phlebotomy/ cervical screening would be advantageous but not essential. Experience in respiratory medicine Non- medical prescriber qualification. UK Registration Applicants must have current UK professional registration.
