We are looking to appoint to a Whole-Time Locum Consultant Haematologist with a specialist interest in Haemostasis and Thrombosis to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. This position is initially for a fixed term of 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum of a further 12 months. We would welcome applications from candidates across the full spectrum of experience, from those who have recently completed training to those who have well-established careers. Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues. Should any further vacancies arise shortlisted applicants will be considered. The appointee, together with consultant colleagues, will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive Haemostasis and Thrombosis Service. It is expected that the successful candidate will take on additional lead Haemostasis and Thrombosis roles and will work flexibly and co-operatively with other members of the team in order to provide a high quality, comprehensive service within this teaching hospital environment.
