The 2 vacancies are in St Clears ( although work from other homes does happen on occasion as per the needs of the service) The company is heavily focussed on therapeutic work with the young people focussed on the outdoors, and the offer bespoke, holistic educational and therapeutic package, promoting positive outcomes for young people with complex emotional and developmental needs. They have a small farm, based in the beautiful Welsh countryside, which is home to a range of friendly animals, including a herd of angora goats, chickens, ducks, sheep, pigs, and several therapy ponies. As a Therapeutic Childcare Support Worker you will safeguard and promote the welfare of the children/young people in the companys care and ensure that the quality of care provided is consistent with all standards, regulations, and legislation. You will establish and maintain effective working relationships with children and young people and their families and where necessary, to encourage and promote involvement to achieve positive outcomes. As a Therapeutic Childcare Support Worker you will work on a 9 day rota pattern to include long days with sleep ins which will be 1 on 1 off for6 days, then 3 full days off ( so 6 days off over a 9 day rota). Salaries are DOE £24,336.00 - £28,797.00 per annum, plus a sleep-in allowance of £75 169 hrs per month and 6 sleep ins average a month. Total OTE salaries £29736 - £34197 To apply for this Therapeutic Childcare Support Worker role you must have experience of working with children and young people with complex needs , ideally from a childrens residential setting, however, transferable skills will be considered. It would be preferable that you have a diploma in childrens residential, but consideration will be given to those working towards it, and you must be willing to work towards it. You must also be over the age of 21 and be a car driver.
