Hypodontia, cleft lip and palate – assisting in the rehabilitation of these patients taking records to plan the treatment and reshaping teeth with composite resin. Trauma patients – restorations, hygiene and the management of discoloured teeth. Maintenance of dental implants and supra-structures. The role will also include the management of periodontal, as well as endodontic and prosthodontic patients referred in by General Dental Practitioners for specialist treatment Clinical Care and Treatment Responsible for maintaining patient records. Formulate individual oral health care preventive plans for patients Record indices and monitor dental disease Take impressions and produce study models Scaling and polishing of teeth including the provision of specialist periodontal invasive therapy Cleaning and polishing teeth including restorations Apply materials to teeth such as fluoride and fissure sealants Carry out routine restorations in both deciduous and permanent teeth on teenagers and adults Carry out emergency temporary replacement of crowns and fillings Undertake cavity preparations from Class1-V Utilise all materials except pre cast or pinned placements Extract deciduous teeth under local infiltration analgesia We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people.
