The post is available up to full time depending on candidate preference, fixed term until 31.03.2025. There is currently temporary funding, however a permanent Band 7 Clinical Psychologist role is being developed. It is a great opportunity to gain experience in a specialised area of neuropsychology with expert supervision, as well as general neuropsychology experience. The role involves assessment, formulation and treatment of patients with brain tumours, with the possibility of also supporting patients with neurological conditions. There is individual, peer and group supervision, CPD, research/audit and service development available. We offer flexibility for some home working, depending on service need. For informal discussion about the post, please contact Drs Gill Cooke/Gemma Wall on 01782 275188 Working alongside a Principal Clinical Psychologist/Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist and Multi-Disciplinary Team to provide high quality psychological formulation and intervention for patients Administration, scoring, interpretation, report-writing and feeding back of neuropsychological assessments, screening tools and outcome measures Providing structured interventions under the supervision of a Psychologist/Neuropsychologist Working with people who have complex needs which can present/lead to challenging situations or behaviours and risk. Contributing to service development and evaluation projects Offering group interventions Previous experience of working with adults with physical, cognitive or mental health problems is essential. Previous experience of working in a multidisciplinary team would be an advantage. In person and remote (online and telephone) patient sessions North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare provides mental health and learning disability care to people in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire. We are one of only 2 specialist mental health trusts in England with an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission. In the National 2022 staff survey, Combined Healthcare was the best performing of all NHS trusts, showing that staff feel Combined is a positive place to work. The Neuropsychology team has excellent links with wider psychology services at Combined Healthcare and with colleagues at local hospitals (Royal Stoke University Hospital and Haywood Hospital). You will be part of a large neuropsychology department, and have good links to peers across the conurbation, via Special Interest Groups and cross-Trust training events and supervision groups.
