Are you looking for a varied, hands on role with travel between sites? Due to recent expansion, we are looking for a health and safety coordinator to join a small team whilst being part of a larger, fast paced business. You will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with health, safety, security and fire legislation. What you will be doing? Assist the Health and Safety Advisor in developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety procedures, to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidance. Provide advice and support on all aspects of health and safety. Work with farm managers to help develop their skills in undertaking risk assessments, accident investigations and inspections to enable a proactive approach to health and safety risks. Engage with farm teams and senior management to promote a positive health and safety culture across the business. Drive implementation of corrective and preventative actions arising from health and safety activities including accident investigations, risk assessments and audits to ensure the recommended control measures are in place. Assist in monitoring health and safety performance across the organisation to support continuous improvement. Deliver on site inductions for new starters and additional health and safety training where required to existing employees. Develop and review risk assessments, safe system of work and standard operating procedures (SOP). Requirements Previous experience working in the agriculture sector (desirable but not essential). IOSH qualification working towards NEBOSH desirable, if not qualified exposure to a health and safety role for a minimum of 2 years essential. Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions as required. Excellent IT skills with experience using Microsoft packages. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Be able to work independently or as part of a small team. Flexibility with working hours required on occasions. Full driving licence with access to a vehicle. We can offer; A competitive salary.
