The Post We currently have an opportunity for a Patient Data Services Support Manager within Gyle Square, Edinburgh. It also involves monitoring and supporting a Patient Data Services Delivery team to achieve the required high standard of output and accuracy within given time scales. To ensure the efficient and effective administration of GP registrations including the transfer of Patient Medical Records. To amend, update and maintain the integrity of the data held on the Community Health Index, primarily through the PARTNERS (Payments Automation and Registration Transfer Network by Electronic Reciprocal Software) link. The Candidate The postholder is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day transactional upkeep of the national CHI database to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient demographic and GP Practice registration information including processing of patient assignment and removal requests. Additionally, the postholder supports the movement of medical records between GP Practices including recording the tracking of the movement or record and investigating issues with the movement of records. This involves dealing with challenging queries from GP Practice staff and patients on a daily basis. Provide day-to-day task assignment for a team of up to six Patient Data Services Operators and occasionally deputise on behalf the Patient Data Services Team Manager The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills using a variety of techniques including written/electronic correspondence, telephone conversations and face to face meetings in order to engage with stakeholders. They must also have strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Location and Working Pattern: The location for this post is Gyle Square, Edinburgh. From 1st April 2024, the standard working week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland will be 37 hours per week. It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
