The Practice Currently Has Around 12,500 Patients. This Is a Part-time Position Working In a Busy Reception And Administration Team. The Working Hours Are As Follows Monday - 07:30 15:30 (half hour unpaid lunch) Tuesday - 12:00 16:00 Wednesday - 11:00-14:00 Friday - 07:30 15:30 (half hour unpaid lunch) We are a busy, fast paced practice so ideally the successful candidate will have experience in working in Primary Care or with the public and be a fast learner. You will have strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and remain focused in a challenging environment. Team working is essential in support of your colleagues and the clinical team. You must be confident in communicating with both the public and staff and can work pro-actively, on your own initiative. The successful candidate must possess strong IT skills as this is an essential part of the role. Good interpersonal skills, clear communication and the ability to build good working relationships with both the practice staff and the public is key. Confidentiality, reliability and attention to detail are also required to succeed in this role. Duties to include: ( this list is not exhaustive ) Reception duties including welcoming patients to the surgery Answering incoming telephone calls Accepting requests for and printing prescriptions Arranging appointments for patients Processing test results Dealing with e-Consults Registering new patients and updating patient records Scanning documents into patients’ electronic records General admin duties including answering queries via telephone / email, filing, processing mail, etc Training will be provided.
