The Exciting Role A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Lecturer to join our enthusiastic Health and Social Care team, on a part-time, permanent basis. The start date for the role is 19 August 2024. The successful candidate will be based at Nelson & Colne College site however, they may also be required to travel to our Accrington & Rossendale campus. This post could suit an experienced practitioner looking for their next challenge, a newly qualified teacher looking to make their mark within an Outstanding organisation, or a talented aspiring trainee teacher looking for support with their teaching qualification. What You Will Be Doing: Teach Health and Social Care within the Health and Social Care Team and contributing flexibly as required to the delivery of programmes within the team's curriculum offer. To ensure that the quality of teaching and learning across all programme areas is at the highest level and as a minimum meets the College's quality standards and as required by your Line Manager. Develop and share resources for the subject including maintaining effective links across College for resources. Regularly assess students in order to track and monitor progress. Maintain comprehensive and up to date student/subject records and provide information, as requested. What We Are Looking For: 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above. Degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification. Recognised teaching qualification (or a willingness to achieve one within the first 3 years of appointment).
