What You Will Do You will support the Dietitians working alongside our Assistant Practitioner providing care to the local population both inpatients and the community. You will play a crucial role in providing Nutrition and Dietetic Support to individuals on the Mental Health Dietitians caseload. The role supports the education of both staff, patients and carers and ongoing monitoring to promote nutrition within this population group. The team will delegate work and provide supervision to the post holder who will work Monday Friday and be required to complete office based tasks such as answering phones and updating patient records e.g. Care Partner. Responsibility will also be taken for stock control and preparation of orders of nutritional products. You will have the opportunity to participate in quality improvement initiatives and develop resources within the team. Full-time hours will reduce from 37.5 to 37 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings. NHS Ayrshire and Arran will implement this change but it may not be possible to fully transition from 1 April and there may therefore be some areas of the organisation where implementation may take longer. If the department is currently unable to safely accommodate the reduced hours from 1st April, you may be required to work 37.5 hours per week (pro rata for part-time staff) until the department can meet the requirements without impacting patient safety - you will, of course, be remunerated accordingly.
