There is flexibility in the post to make it longer or shorter than 6 months. This post will provide the successful candidate with opportunities to get experience in all aspects of rehabilitation medicine from assessing suitability for rehabilitation in a patient who is in an acute neurological phase to establishing rehabilitation potential and taking the patient through specialist rehabilitation treatments. This role will include the opportunity to work on the newly established Rapid Access Acute Rehabilitation (RAAR) beds which is an initiative to improve access to inpatient rehabilitation. This post will provide the opportunity to get experience in all aspects of caring for a neurological patient from assessing suitability for rehabilitation in the acute phase to establishing rehabilitation potential and undergoing specialist rehabilitation.
