You’ll be working with autistic adults and their families in a range of environments that support the service users' needs. Our community services currently supports 3 adult males in a safe environment and you will be working in a team of fully trained experienced staff support the people we support to have a good quality of life, ensuring support and activities are meaningful to each individual. We support the residents to develop their skills and independence, which may include attending college, work opportunities, woodwork as well as attend our Day Centres. Residents attend social clubs, enjoy cooking and arts and crafts at home, enjoy days out, listening to music, walks in the park and holidays. Role Previous experience of working with people who exhibit challenging behaviour is desirable but not essential for this role. You will need to be enthusiastic and willing to help individuals with a variety of care and support needs including: Accessing the community, shopping, social outings and leisure activities Domestic tasks like cooking and personal care Hours of Work: 12 hours per week.
