The post holder being expected to provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence. Based at the above site and providing an efficient day to day Portering service for patients, service users transferring patients and all manner of stock items to and from all departments across the site. Portering Services provides a 24 hours, 7 day a week service across all trust sites. The successful candidates will have good numeracy and communication skills, a reliable worker and be flexible in their availability to work all manner of shifts in any 24 hour period. Previous experience of working in a similar environment would be beneficial, but full training will be provided. This role requires the post holder to work in areas that are used for the care of Coronavirus (Covid19) positive patients. Candidates are required to show their original qualification certificates to the interview panel. As a member of the site porter team, you will undertake a wide range of duties as directed by the Porter Supervisors / Hotel Services Officers. Providing an efficient day to day Portering service for patients, service users transferring patients and all manner of stock items to and from all departments across the site. To support the provision of clinical services throughout the Trust, undertaking the movement of patient’s goods and waste as required. Using vehicles, powered movers and equipment as directed. Portering Services provides a 24 hours, 7 day a week service across all trust sites.
