This part-time, permanent role will suit those with experience and interest in working with trainee clinical psychologists as they complete their Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. As a course we are currently exploring dual accreditation options within systemic family therapy (AFT) and cognitive behavioural therapy (BABCP), and so applicants with accreditation in either of these are especially encouraged. As a postholder you will be encouraged and supported to develop your training, teaching, assessment and research skillset. You will have an honorary role within the University and the opportunity to draw upon a range of world-class facilities, networks and support structures across local health services and the University. The Leicester Clinical Psychology Programme has a national reputation for its innovations in training, its critical reflective approach, its commitment to diversity and to developing clinical psychologists with the skills to engage with wider ethical and social issues. The postholder will have access to shared office working space in the George Davies Centre at the University of Leicester, as well as flexible working arrangements to allow for some aspects of the role to be completed through working at home. We can offer some flexibility with when the sessions are used in the working week to fit in with the post-holder’s other work or home commitments. To fit in with training delivery, there is an expectation that the post-holder’s work days would mainly cover Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please note this post does not involve direct clinical work; it is expected that the post-holder will actively engage in direct clinical work in other role(s) they hold.
