The Maternity Nurse is responsible for the assessment, implementation and evaluation of clinical care for women, birthing people and babies on the maternity unit. As a nurse, you will work in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team ensuring effective care is planned and delivered. As a nurse, you are responsible for your own practice and will be expected to maintain a high standard of professional expertise to ensure that the highest standard of care is given to patients in their care. Provide support and mentoring to less experienced practitioners, midwives, nurses and students to the trust standards and competencies and to support colleagues in a multi-disciplinary team.
