Moorfields is one of the world's leading eye hospitals, providing expertise in clinical care, research and education. Our main focus is the treatment and care of NHS patients with a wide range of eye problems, from common complaints to rare conditions which require treatments not available anywhere else in the UK. We treat people at our main hospital base in London's City Road and at 19 satellite facilities in and around the capital, which enables us to provide expert treatment closer to patient’s homes. Moorfields has contracts with more than 80 primary care trusts across the country, making us a truly national centre for eye care. The post holder works as part of a team under supervision and will: Participate in the delivery of patient centred care, always maintaining a compassionate and professional attitude. Contribute to the ward/clinic/department/organisation. Support senior staff in the provision of a caring and safe environment. Demonstrate competence in generic and specialist skills following the completion of the appropriate training and education and within twelve months from commencement in role. Function at a competency level in line with the requirements of the post and achieve and maintain both mandatory and statutory training requirements associated with the role.
