This is an exciting time to join the Respiratory Medicine department as we further develop our sub-specialty interests. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with an interest in Lung Cancer but a variety of other sub-specialties could also be accommodated including, but not limited to, Cystic Fibrosis, Sleep and NIV, Interstitial Lung Disease, COPD and developing community respiratory care. Our lung cancer service currently makes over 300 diagnoses per year and is well supported by a full MDT including colleagues from surgical centres as well as oncology therapies. We are committed to improving our lung cancer performance through a range of innovations and are seeking colleagues who are inspired to drive through service change and achieve improvements in outcomes for our patients. We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and dynamic individuals who will work well within our diverse and friendly team to develop inpatient and outpatient services. In line with service provision discussions, there may be scope for additional programmed activities, which will be clarified during the recruitment process for potential candidates. We welcome whole-time, part-time or job share applications and we are committed to supporting flexible job plans and will work with you to mutually agree your activity commitment. Candidates will currently contribute to the General Medical on-call rota, though in the longer-term a separate respiratory on-call rota is envisaged. We are also developing proposals to accommodate cross site working within the Trust in certain sub-specialties.
