Principal duties to include: Communication Effective communication with Primary Care (GPs, practice nurses), social services, acute / community hospital staff, borough council and local voluntary sector Utilises a range of effective communication skills, tools and techniques that meet the needs of the patients and carers and is able to effectively overcome any barriers to communication and understanding. The Integrated Neighbourhood Teams are looking for experienced District Nurses to join our community nursing team across the neighbourhood of Ashford & Stanwell. The Community Team visit patients in their own home as well as care homes. We offer excellent opportunities for training and development of both your clinical and leadership skills. The team has experienced Clinical Leads who will ensure that you have the necessary support for your personal development. The community nursing service works over a 7-day week 8.00am to 8.00pm offering a variable shift pattern and includes weekend and bank holiday working. This post requires a specialist District Nursing Degree, following your adult nursing qualification. NHS work and Community Nursing experience is essential. You will be supported with a comprehensive induction and training package as needed, to help you settle in, with the time and opportunity to get to know the people on your caseload, along with development opportunities.
