Within Acute Frailty at St Richards we have an opportunity for you. We are a dynamic, inclusive supportive teams, within Boxgrove, Selsey and Bosham & Chilgrove with both fulltime & parttime substantive position for Bosham, Part time substantive position Selsey for 25hours. A position for Boxgrove and a fulltime position for Chilgrove We are currently seeking a caring enthusiastic nurse with a 'can do’ positive approach to fill our Band 6 positions to complement our positive team culture. Our wards are 27-beds ward which specialises in elderly care, acute frailty and dementia care. Chilgrove is a 22 bedded Nurse led Discharge Unit You will need to demonstrate a keen interest in elderly care. Ability to engage with our visitors, loved ones and families, and confidently liaise with our extended MDT is essential. As a senior nurse you will need to be supportive and resilient in challenging situations. We have an inclusive team culture and value innovative and creative thinking. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses. In return we can offer you development opportunities. You will be responsible for leading the team in the absence of the ward sister, supporting with staff management, audit and ward development projects. You will also support the ward sister in reviewing complaints and governance issues, promoting a positive safety culture. To have continuing 24 hour responsibility supporting the ward sister for the effective management of the area and deputising in their absence. In addition the post holder will provide nursing leadership within this area, ensuring an effective quality nursing service, with responsibility for standards of nursing care and patient safety. Please note that if you currently work for another NHS Trust or UHSussex and you are applying to accept this position as a secondment opportunity, before applying you must seek agreement and authorisation from your current Trust/Manager. Secondments can’t be agreed without this approval. If you are unable to gain approval you should refrain from applying unless you wish to take this role as a fixed term position.
