Support other staff within Estates and Facilities to ensure that the activities of contractors working at any of the Trust sites do not subvert fire precautions or initiate false alarms in Trust premises. To fulfil the role of \"Competent Person\" for the organisation as defined within the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 Part 2 Article 18. The postholder will ensure the Trust meets its statutory and common law obligations and will provide specialist fire safety advice, fire safety training, complete fire risk assessments and lead on the programme of fire evacuation drills across all Trust premises. The postholder will lead on improvements to the fire safety culture of the organisation by ensuring the delivery of a comprehensive first-class Fire Advisor Service. You will be responsible for driving the trust to take all reasonable steps to protect patients, staff, visitors and property against the dangers of fire, and to act as a technical expert.
