Acts as Authorised Person/Responsible Officer in relation to specific maintenance responsibilities e.g. decontamination, medical gases, specialised ventilation, electrical safety, water safety. Maintains, operates and reviews Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM)programmes and through the implementation of suitable operational work plans ensures that buildings, plant and equipment are maintained to the appropriate NHS and statutory standards.Continually reviews and revises as necessary operational procedures and working practices To manage the Queensway Sterile Services Department team of 3 Engineers carrying out routine decontamination equipment and building service maintenance.Systems include, Washer/Disinfectors, Trolley Washers, Steam Sterilisers (Autoclaves), RO System, Steam Generators, Heating and Cooling, Ventilation, LV Power and Back Up Generator.(Additional information can also be found in the Person Specification).
