An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Children and Young People's Public Health Service as the Best Start in Life Specialist Lead. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our supportive, forward thinking and proactive Leadership team, with the successful applicant working alongside other specialist leads to ensure every child has the best start in life. The 0-19 Best Start in Life Professional Lead will work Pan Dorset promoting a whole family approach to improve emotional wellbeing and mental health for families including parents, infants, children. The role will require working in partnership with key stakeholders to address the High Impact areas of the Healthy Child Programme including; transition to parenthood, maternal and family mental health, improving health literacy and supporting health, wellbeing, development and narrowing the word gap. Previous experience of working with Children, Young People and their families in relation to promoting health, improving Mental Health and improving school readiness is a key requirement. Training and further development opportunities within the role will be provided. This is a part time permanent role (30hrs), with a flexible working pattern across Mon-Fri, including hybrid working. Car driver is essential for networking and attending meetings across Dorset.
