If you have an ability and motivation to teach others to perform skills safely, it may be time to join the Clinical Support Facilitator (CSF) team in a secondment post which provides an opportunity to develop your skills as an educator. Working with other established CSFs in your area, you will be responsible for developing and delivering education related to your chosen field of practice with a particular focus on enabling RCNs to continue to develop their knowledge and skills in General Medicine and Critical Care Level 1& 2 care. You will be supported by existing members of the CSF team who are experienced educators and can facilitate your development. Applicants are required to be RSCN or RN-Part 15 (Child Branch) with extensive paediatric experience in Children's Medical and Critical Care Level 1& 2 Nursing. You should have good communication skills, together with the ability to manage your own workload and work to deadlines. A desire to work using simulation within the clinical environment would be preferable as well as completion of the Critical Care Level 1& 2 course. Evidence of a post-graduate teaching & learning course is preferred. Main duties of the job You will need to have flexibility, vision and excellent time management skills to support the existing CSFs; and lead in change management and the development and implementation of new teaching models that advance practice through innovation. With the underpinning of your existing clinical skills you will be supported to further your own practice that in turn supports you in providing education to lead nurses through their professional development. Alongside this you will be required to support the Senior Nursing Team in a culture of dynamic leadership that continually improves patient safety and the quality of care provided to children and families. Alongside the CSF role, you will also work as a member of the Faculty of Children's Nurse Education to address the wider educational needs of the Women's and Children's Division.
