An innovative and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join our team within the Hyper-acute Stroke Unit, Ward 5, Ninewells Hospital. The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate the ability to work with a level of autonomy whilst still under the supervision of the RN as well as use their enhanced skills with a view to be delivering excellent care. You should be educated to SVQII level and are required to achieve SVQIII or equivalent. You should be able to evidence excellent interpersonal skills and have experience as a Health Care Support Worker within an in-patient hospital setting. This is a chance to fully develop and further enhance skills and knowledge you may already possess. You should be interested in developing further within the role. You must have the ability to work with people and as part of a multi disciplinary team as well as the ability to reprioritise your workload due to unpredictable demand. Evidence of delivering high quality compassionate care is essential. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
