The Nephrology and Transplant Directorate includes the 20 bedded specialist Cardiff Transplant Unit on T5 and a 27 bedded nephrology ward on B5. Renal outpatients incorporating IV therapies and a dedicated dialysis unit, David Thomas Unit which has undergone a complete refurbishment. The successful candidate will be expected to support the ward manager with aspects of managerial and development work. There is also the opportunity to complete a Degree or Masters level module in Renal Nursing. There is a wide range of clinical skills and developmental opportunities available which are supported by the Practice Development Team. This post will be based on Ward B5 Nephrology but there is the expectation that the role will support the wider directorate when required to meet service needs. The unit has a friendly experienced multidisciplinary team who are leaders in the pursuit of excellence for our renal patients. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
