In this pivotal role, the Senior Commercial Lead will play a key leadership role in overseeing and managing contract negotiations and post-contract commercial management within the NHP capital works programme. This could include areas like professional services, a scheme of hospitals, and/or a high-value scheme. They will deliver the provision of a robust, efficient and effective contract management service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHSE requirements ensuring alignment with the key priority activities of the programme. This will involve working closely with senior business stakeholders to create and execute short and long-term strategies, for the relevant works programmes, which will best position NHP to maximise value, minimise risk and deliver the agreed benefits of the programme through cost saving or improved operations. The role will focus on supporting the delivery of continuous improvement through measurable efficiencies (cost and operational delivery) and providing valuable market insights. The role will adapt over time in response to the changing needs of the programme and will involve line management, coaching and development of direct reports, to deliver robust contract management which ensures delivery at the optimum cost, maximising value.
