This will be a cross-site role. We have an exciting opportunity to join the Endoscopy team within a newly established Endoscopy pre-assessment service. Endoscopy is a busy and fast paced department and while working as part of the whole team you will need to have the capability to prioritise your own workload, be confident, flexible and adaptable to varying situations in this busy environment You will provide high quality admin and clerical support in the form of booking Endoscopy Pre-Assessment appointments using electronic booking systems. You will have the ability to use initiative and judgement in dealing with non-routine enquiries and situations. You will use your ability to exercise judgement and initiative when dealing with urgent enquiries and knowing when to escalate. You will liaise closely with our service users and link with our many departments involved in providing timely appointments for patients to ensure Endoscopy procedure can go ahead without delay. You will be a conscientious and enthusiastic team player with excellent organisational and communication skills with a sound administrative background. You will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues, be well motivated and reliable. You will be able to understand and accurately convey verbal and written information and be able to remain calm under pressure. The ability to manage your time and prioritise your workload whilst remaining patient focused is essential as well as an excellent telephone manner. Your main roles and responsibilities will include: Using Medway PAS arrange appointments Arranging follow up appointments Reduce and cancel clinics Arrange transport Ensure RTT data is accurate at all times Deal appropriately with enquiries Liaising and coordinating with the Deputy Lead Nurse Manage the demand and capacity within the standard operating practice Highlight any capacity issues that arise Ensure all referrals are booked in a timely manner meeting the department KPIs Undertake any other duties, which may reasonably be required "}
