Tuesday’s job plan will be directed by the needs of the above services. The clinical research unit undertakes and manages clinical trials within the rapidly changing HIV, Hepatology and Sexual Health disease area, offering a high standard of care to patients from a variety of backgrounds. The candidate should be highly motivated, organised, enthusiastic and hardworking. The candidate should also demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively on a variety of levels. The successful candidate should be able to work autonomously, show attention to detail and cope well under pressure. The post holder will provide support to the HIV, Sexual Health and Hepatology clinical research teams and the HIV Injectable Service. This post will work across the above services as follows; Mon & Thurs dedicated to Clinical Trials. Wed & Fri dedicated to the HIV Injectable Service. Tuesday’s job plan will be directed by the needs of the above services. This support will include the following; Processing biological samples including blood and urine as per clinical trial protocols To arrange the courier collection and shipment of biological samples To assist in the checking of basic research equipment To maintain a kit inventory and order supplies as required Responsible for co-ordinating and collating data for the Barts Health NHS Injectables service.
