CAMHS ADTT provide specialist assessments and treatment for children and young people suffering with anxiety disorders, OCD and Tic Disorders across Berkshire. The ADTT team prides itself on our inclusive practice, particularly our work with neurodivergent families. We have a compassionate ethos within the team which permeates throughout our work, and which is remarked upon by all clinicians who work with us. The person in this role will receive valuable support and guidance from senior clinicians in the team as they work with children and young people experiencing anxiety disorders. The goal is to offer high-quality practical and emotional support, as well as therapeutic interventions. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting assessments, collaborating with various agencies, and helping families during their waiting period for treatment. You'll also be involved in organising support group activities and assisting with referrals to other agencies, working alongside a designated Health Care Professional to ensure everything runs smoothly. You will provide short-term interventions, such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy-informed approaches to help manage distress and emotions, psychoeducation, and consultations with multiple agencies. By working closely with other CAMHS teams and agencies, you'll help ensure that the interventions are well-aligned with the overall care plan for each child and their family. To provide therapeutic interventions (individual/group) to children, young people and parents/carers on distress tolerance and anxiety management. To contribute to initial assessments of children and young people referred to the team in conjunction with other qualified members of the team. Assist in running support or treatment groups for young people and /or their parents. To facilitate and signpost referrals when appropriate to other agencies, in conjunction with allocated Health Care Professional. Contribute to, attend and, where appropriate, multi-agency meetings including safeguarding and child protection meetings, contributing to care support plans and supporting the network of professionals in creating a joint clinical formulation of the patients’ needs.to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
