This role has been funded via Alzheimer’s Scotland and will work alongside established NMAHP roles in Dementia. This post is a 0.22 WTE (8 hours per week) Band 8A position and open to any AHP with relevant experience and knowledge. This role may be in addition to your substantive role, or with agreement from your line manager by secondment/another arrangement. This post will act as a lead AHP role within Dementia care acting as a link to the national AHP Dementia Forum, supporting our local AHP dementia forum, and supporting local service leads in ensuring ‘Connecting people Connecting support’ is embedded in service delivery and strategy moving forward. The post holder will work alongside other Allied Health Professional Leads and will be accountable to the Allied Health Professional Lead in Mental Health & Learning Disabilities, collaborating with AHPs across Grampian. The successful candidate will also be required to work closely with a wide range of other professionals from health and other agencies, supporting staff at all stages of their development. Applicants must be qualified as an AHP, HCPC registered, with significant professional experience in dementia, as well as having a management qualification or equivalent experience. They should be able to demonstrate effective leadership e.g. of teams and projects, have experience of service development and improvement, as well as excellent communication skills.
