This involves adhering to local, regional, and national guidelines, while meeting the objectives of the national maternity agenda. Main duties of the job You will be responsible for providing midwifery care to women and birthing parents experiencing moderate and severe mental health problems. This involves collaborating with local mental health services and multi-agency teams. Additionally, you will closely collaborate with the Specialist Midwife for substance misuse, supporting her in joint obstetric clinics and developing skills and knowledge to assist women facing substance misuse challenges during pregnancy. You will work in close partnership with women, birthing parents, and their families to plan and coordinate their care based on their individual needs. This will involve connecting with the maternity service and other relevant services to ensure adherence to appropriate pathways and care plans, all of which are communicated for the safety and well-being of our families.
