For further information or to arrange an informal visit, please contact: Dr Kasu KIRAN - Clinical Director CAMHS, The Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic consultant psychiatrist to join the CAMHS Service in Kerrier. The postholder will provide clinic leadership to the CAMHS Team in Kerrier and contribute to the assessment and therapeutic needs of children, young people, and their families in a range of settings and will work collaboratively with other members of the team to plan and deliver appropriate tailored treatment plans. The Kerrier CAMHS team is an innovative, friendly and supportive MDT, which includes paediatrics, nursing, dietitians, systemic family therapy, psychology, and other therapists. We offer an enhanced relocation package to the right candidate This post is part of the leadership team within the service and will provide appropriate support and supervision to other team members. The post holder will be part of a clinical team providing specialist psychiatric advice to the multidisciplinary team. There is the potential to support medical trainees and advanced clinical practitioners, who will be supervised by the consultant. The post-holder with other senior members of the CAMHS Team in Kerrier will be responsible for ensuring there is effective communication with referring and receiving teams throughout the Trust, and Primary care. Where appropriate the post-holder will join therapy sessions in complex cases. Whilst primarily responsible for delivering a quality clinical service the Consultant psychiatrist is also expected to be actively involved in the strategic development of the team and broader services, being involved with the service manager in helping to steer the development of the service in line with the strategic direction of the organisation. The successful candidate will develop a personal development plan for lifelong learning .
