Histopathology department is looking for a HCPC registered non-specialist Biomedical Scientist. The role will involve taking direct responsibility for all the results produced and work performed including quality control and assurance. You will be expected to actively participate in all clinical laboratory tasks to support the specialised diagnostic service for patients in the Histopathology department performing routine diagnostic testing procedures on histology and non gynae cytology samples. Duties may also include: Accurate descriptive note taking whilst assisting the pathologist at specimen dissection. Production of digital images of specimens. Processing and embedding tissue blocks. Production of high quality sections. Specialised staining techniques. Assessment of all stained slides for quality and accuracy. "}
