This rotational programme includes a variety of clinical experience and training within the various specialties, including medicine, surgery, intensive care, EAU, medication risk, frailty, oncology, antibiotics and paediatrics. Successful applicants will have recent hospital experience and be able to demonstrate consistent achievement in the areas outlined in the General Level Competency Framework. Candidates should hold a Certificate in Pharmacy Practice (or equivalent) and would be keen to pursue further postgraduate education, including working towards completion of an independent prescribing qualification. You should be a team player with the ability to introduce change and have a keen interest to actively participate in the training and development of others. Training and experience in line management and supervision of pre-registration and diploma students will be provided. This is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week, however flexible working and job-share will be considered. Interviews will be face to face and a remote interview would only be considered for extenuating circumstances, and cannot be guaranteed as an option. Main duties of the job You will be primarily ward based for most of the rotations, optimising all aspects of pharmaceutical care to individual patients and developing and promoting medicines management services. You will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary clinical team and a variety of Specialty Business Units (SBUs) across the hospital. The successful applicant will be required to participate in late night, weekend working and public holiday work.
